You sign in on the Kylon sign-in page with Google, Apple, Microsoft, or your email address. Email sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your inbox; there is no password. If you do not have an account yet, the same card lets you create one.
Before you start
- Use the same email address your teammates invited, if you are joining a Workspace. An email invitation only works with the address it was sent to.
- Kylon does not ask for a phone number on the sign-in card. A phone number appears in two other places: you can add one to your profile for Agent phone calls, and when you set up a new Workspace you may be offered an SMS code to verify a number so you can talk with your Agent by phone. You can choose Not now on that step.
Steps
- Open the sign-in page. In a browser, open Kylon and sign in when asked. In the Mac app, sign-in finishes in your browser, and the app shows Finish signing in in your browser.
- Choose a method. Select the Google, Apple, or Microsoft button, or enter your email address and follow the prompts on the card.
- Finish and land where you were going. If you opened an invite link or another Kylon link before signing in, Kylon takes you back to it after you sign in. Otherwise you land on your Workspaces.
If something goes wrong
- You signed in to the wrong account. Open the user menu (Open user menu), select Sign out, then sign in again with the account you meant to use. With Google, Apple, or Microsoft, pick the account that uses the email address you expect.
- The Google, Apple, or Microsoft buttons are missing. If you opened the page inside another app's built-in browser, Kylon shows Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-in need your browser and offers email instead. Continue with email, or open the page in your normal browser. On Android, select Open in browser. On iPhone, open the page in Safari from the app's menu, or select Copy link and paste it into Safari.
- A code does not arrive. Check that you typed the right address, look in your spam or junk folder, wait a minute, and select Didn't receive a code? Resend on the card to get a new one. If codes still do not arrive, contact support.
- An invite link opens the wrong account. An email invitation is tied to one address. If you are signed in with a different address, Kylon shows This invitation was sent to the invited address and lets you switch accounts. Select Switch account (or Not this account?), then sign in with the invited address. A shareable invite link is different: it asks you to enter your email, signs existing accounts in, and creates an account for new ones. See Invite or remove members.
- Kylon says the invitation is no longer available. Email invitations expire after 7 days, and an invitation that was already used cannot be used again. Ask the person who invited you to send a new one.
