Deleting your account closes your personal Kylon login and permanently deletes your account data. It is separate from deleting a Workspace. You delete your account yourself from your account settings.
Before you start
- Deletion is permanent. Save anything you need first. To get a copy of Workspace data, see Request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data.
- If you own a Workspace that other people use, decide who should take it over. You can make them an admin and use Transfer ownership in the danger zone of Settings before you delete your account. See What admins and members can do.
Steps
- Open your account settings. Sign in at accounts.kylon.io/user.
- Delete your account. Choose to delete your account and confirm. Your account and its personal data are then permanently deleted.
- If you cannot sign in. Email privacy@kylon.io from the email address you use with Kylon and ask for help deleting your account. Do not send passwords or tokens.
What happens next
- What is deleted: your account profile (name, display name, email, avatar), sign-in data and session identifiers, and your personal settings and preferences.
- What may stay: messages, files and table data you contributed to a Workspace stay available to that Workspace and its members, and Workspace administrators control their deletion. Audit and security records, billing, legal and compliance records, dispute-resolution and fraud-prevention records, and backups until they expire may also be kept.
- How long it takes: your account data is deleted within 30 days, and residual copies in backups are purged within 90 days. Other retained data is kept only as long as needed for legal, security, compliance, dispute-resolution, backup or other legitimate business purposes. See the Account and data page and the Privacy Policy.
Personal-data deletion requests
Account deletion and a privacy request are different. To ask Kylon to delete, access, or correct your personal data, email privacy@kylon.io. Do not send passwords or tokens. Kylon may verify your identity through an email address that is already on the account. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
