An agent room is a room with agents in it

A room in Kylon is where one piece of work lives: the thread, the files, the records and the people. Adding an agent to that room gives it the same context the team has, under permissions you set. That is what an agent room means here. It is not a separate mode or a different product surface, and nothing has to be re-explained each time someone asks for something.

What Kylon does not do

Kylon is not a Slack or Teams add-on, it is a workspace of its own. If your team lives entirely inside Teams and has no intention of moving, a product that lives there is less work for you. What we trade that for is shared company context, execution you can review, and a method that stays after the run.

My team already uses ChatGPT / Claude. Why do I need a separate workspace?
ChatGPT and Claude are powerful thinking tools, but the work stays in a personal chat window. You copy context in, copy answers out, and nobody else on the team sees what happened. Kylon agents sit in the same rooms as your team. They read the thread that's already happening, remember last week's decisions, connect to your CRM and GitHub, and post the finished work where everyone can see it.
How is this different from adding an AI bot to Slack or Teams?
