An Agent uses a Connection the way you would use that account, but only inside the permissions you granted. It can read and work with items in the tool. Anything it would send out, such as an email or a message, first becomes a draft card that a person reviews and sends.

Before you start

What Agents can do

  • Read. With a Connection such as Gmail, an Agent can look up and read what the account lets it see, for example searching mail, opening a thread, or listing labels. It uses this to answer your request.
  • Act in the tool. Depending on the tool and the permissions you granted, an Agent can also create or change items, for example creating a calendar event or editing a Google Sheet. It does this directly, with no separate approval step. The Agent can only do what the OAuth permissions you approved allow.
  • Prepare messages for you to send. For email (Gmail and Outlook), LINE, and X posts or direct messages, the Agent creates a draft card in the thread. It does not send anything itself.
  • Stay inside the account's permissions. An Agent cannot do more than the connected account and the permissions you approved allow. Permissions you left unticked in the Authorize dialog are not requested.

How drafts work

  1. The Agent writes a draft. A card appears in the thread with the recipients, subject or message text, and a Draft status.
  2. Review it. Select Edit to change the content, then Save. Select Discard draft to remove it for everyone who can access it.
  3. Send it. Select Send. A confirmation asks Send this email? or Send this message? and states that this cannot be undone. Confirm with Send. For X posts, the confirmation button reads Publish.
  4. Or schedule it. Open the send options next to Send and choose Schedule send to pick a date, time and time zone. Cancel scheduled send stops it before then.
  5. Follow the status. The card moves through Sending and Sent. If you see Delivery needs verification, check in the tool itself before sending again.

Who can send a draft

  • Email and X drafts can be edited and sent by people who can use the Connection the draft is tied to, not only by the person who asked the Agent. People without that access see who created the draft but no Send button. If the card says Connection access is unavailable., select Retry.
  • Automations work the same way for email, LINE, and X: an Automation also creates a draft that a person sends. For other connected tools such as Slack, an Automation's Agent can act directly.

About your data

  • When an Agent works with Google data you authorized, relevant content can be sent to the AI services that run the task. The Google consent dialog explains this before you connect, and the Privacy Policy section 5 describes it in full. Agents running outside Kylon's infrastructure process this data in their own environment; the AI service behind each brought Agent works under that service's own terms.
  • Disconnecting stops future access. See Disconnect a tool.
