What the agent reads before it writes a record
An agent reads the rooms it belongs to, the files and records attached to them, and the accounts granted to it, inside the permissions you set. It states what it read in the same reply as the result, so a record change can be traced back to the email or the thread it came from.

What Kylon does not do
It does not send email on its own, and it does not change a record outside the room without an approval. It is also not a system of record replacement. Connect the CRM you already run and the agent writes into it.
Questions people ask
- What is the difference between an AI CRM and a CRM with AI features?
- A CRM with AI features helps a person do the work faster: it drafts, scores and summarises, and the person still types the result into the record. An AI CRM does the entry itself and asks a person to approve it. The test is who is holding the keyboard at the end.
- Will AI replace the CRM?
- The record store is not the part under pressure. What changes is who maintains it. The database stays, and the manual upkeep around it moves to an agent that proposes changes for review.
- How is AI used in a CRM today?
- Most commonly for lead scoring, summarising a call, drafting a reply and enriching a record from public sources. The newer pattern is an agent that reads across email, calendar and the CRM in one pass and writes the change back for approval.
- Can I build a CRM with AI instead of buying one?
- You can build the record store quickly. The part that decides whether it survives is upkeep: who writes the rows every week and who reviews them. Answer that first, then choose whether to build or connect.
- Does an agent need access to everything?
- No. Access is the rooms it is a member of plus the accounts you connect to it, and each proposed change shows what it read.
