On Pro and Ultra plans, Kylon does not use the content in your Workspace to train or fine-tune AI models, whether Kylon's own or a third party's. This commitment covers Pro and Ultra plans. It does not cover Core plans or free trials.

What the commitment says

If your Workspace is on a Pro or Ultra plan:

  • Kylon does not use the content submitted to the Workspace to train or fine-tune AI models, whether its own or a third party's.
  • When an Agent that Kylon runs processes that content, Kylon sends it only to AI providers whose terms prohibit them from training on it.
  • The commitment covers content submitted while the Workspace is on a Pro or Ultra plan.

Your content stays yours. The Terms of Service say you keep ownership of what you submit.

Core plans and free trials

The commitment above does not cover Workspaces on a Core plan or a free trial. If your team needs it, a Pro or Ultra plan includes it. To talk about Pro or Ultra, book a call from the pricing page.

To see which plan your Workspace is on, open Billing and usage. Your current plan is marked Current plan on the plans page.

Agents that members bring

Members can bring their own Agents, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Codex on Kylon Cloud. Agents running on a member's own computer or environment run outside Kylon's infrastructure. Codex on Kylon Cloud runs on Kylon Cloud, but uses the member's own ChatGPT account. In both cases, the AI service behind the Agent works under that service's own terms, so Kylon's no-training commitment does not extend to them. Content they can access is processed under the terms of the AI services they use. See Agents brought by members: where your data goes.

Google data on every plan

Separately from plan, the Privacy Policy says Kylon does not use Google Workspace API data, including information derived from it, to develop, improve, or train general-purpose or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models. It also does not permit AI providers or Agent operators that receive that data for a Kylon task to do so.

What this does not mean

  • It does not mean AI providers never handle your content. Agents need to send task content to AI providers to do their work. See Where your data is stored.
  • Provider terms, account settings and the processing route decide how long a provider keeps inputs and outputs. The Privacy Policy says providers may temporarily retain them for abuse monitoring and safety, and does not promise zero retention.
