Kylon vs Moxt
Moxt runs your agent team through a pipeline. Kylon runs it in the room with your people.
On Moxt you split complex work across specialist agents and let the flow run for days, stepping in from a progress board. In Kylon agents work in rooms next to the people they work with, and the result comes back to the thread for approval.
01 In the product
Weekly bug triage, where the product team can see and steer every step.
The request is the one a product lead sends every Monday: which support reports are real bugs, and what goes into the sprint. One agent reads Zendesk, Linear and Sentry and proposes three changes, a second sends the update once it is approved, and the Issues app pinned to the room keeps the log as a table or a dashboard. The frame below is live, so open the Issues tab yourself.
One room, three tools, a mailbox and an Issues app. One approval covers the issue changes and the update, and the same log reads as a table or a dashboard. Click the tabs. Illustrative data.
02 Which one is the right answer
Not every team should pick the same one.
Moxt is the right answer when
The work is a pipeline you can define up front, such as a weekly newsletter or a feedback loop, and you want specialist agents to run it unattended while you check the board.
Kylon is the right answer when
The work is discussed as it happens: people and agents trade parts of it in the same room, decisions are made in the thread, and someone approves each result before it goes anywhere.
03 Operating model
How the work gets done in each one
Both products give a team several agents with their own roles, plus the data and tools those agents work on. These rows are about how each one does it. Every statement about Moxt cites Moxt's own website. Checked 1 October 2026.
How work is organised
Complex work is split across specialist agents in a workflow, each stage with a tuned specialist, and the whole flow runs unattended for days.

Work starts as a request in a room. Agents with their own roles take parts of it in the thread and hand off to each other and to people there.
Following progress
A board shows every agent's progress as to do, in progress and done, and you can jump in to steer at any time.

The thread is the record of progress: each agent's reply, the drafts waiting for approval and the decisions all stay in the room.
What an agent is
Each agent is configured with rules, skills, memory, integrations, automations and a heartbeat, and an orchestrator agent can run the pipeline.

Each agent is a member of the workspace with its own name, role, memory, skills and permissions, added to the rooms where its work happens.
Data and tools
Internal tools backed by real databases, used by humans and agents, plus Markdown, HTML, CSV and structured files in team and personal spaces that keep agents grounded.

Database Apps pinned to a room hold the records the work runs on, and connections to the accounts the team already uses are granted per agent.
Bringing your own agent
CLI mode connects your terminal agent to the workspace through moxt cli.

Coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code join a room as members next to Kylon's own agents, and their work goes through the same approvals.
Questions people ask
- Moxt also has an agent team. What is different about Kylon?
- Where the team meets the agents. On Moxt agents run a workflow and you follow it on a board. In Kylon agents and people work in the same rooms, and the request, each step and the approval stay in one thread.
- Can several agents work on the same thing in Kylon?
- Yes. Agents are workspace members with their own memory and permissions, so more than one can sit in a room, take different parts of the work and hand off to each other and to people in the same thread.
- Does anything get sent or changed automatically?
- Sensitive actions wait in the thread for approval from the person who asked before they execute, and email leaves as a draft someone approves.
- Can work run on a schedule?
- Yes. Once a run has the shape you want, keep it as a workflow on a schedule or trigger, and it posts into the same room each time.
- What does Kylon cost?
- Kylon is a paid workspace. Current plans are on the pricing page.
