Kylon vs Sauna

Sauna is one AI teammate that follows you. Kylon gives you a team of them.

Sauna is an agent that learns how you work and meets you on every surface, from iMessage to Slack. In Kylon each agent has its own role, memory and permissions, works in rooms next to your people, and brings the result back to the thread for approval.

01 In the product

Two agents on October renewals, one approval, and the account log in the same room.

The request is the one a customer success lead sends every week: which renewals are at risk, and what to do about them. One agent reads HubSpot, PostHog and Zendesk and proposes three actions, a second sends the update once it is approved, and the Accounts app pinned to the room keeps the log as a table or a dashboard. The frame below is live, so open the Accounts tab yourself.

One room, three tools, a mailbox and an Accounts app. One approval covers the account actions and the update, and the same log reads as a table or a dashboard. Click the tabs. Illustrative data.

02 Which one is the right answer

Not every team should pick the same one.

Sauna is the right answer when

Each person wants an assistant that learns their way of working and reaches them wherever they are, from iMessage to email, with colleagues able to tap into it.

Kylon is the right answer when

The work belongs to the team: several agents with different roles carry parts of it, people approve the results in the room where the work is discussed, and the output stays as records anyone can open later.

03 Operating model

How the work gets done in each one

Both products give a team an AI that keeps working while people are away. These rows are about how each one does it. Every statement about Sauna cites Sauna's own website. Checked 1 October 2026.

Kylon

In a room in the Kylon workspace, on the web or on the phone. The request, each agent's reply and the approval stay in one thread, and Slack stays connected so an agent can read and post there too.

Working as a team

Sauna

Teammates share a Sauna's context and memory, and each person's Sauna can ask a colleague's Sauna a question or pull their knowledge without interrupting them.

Kylon

People and agents share a room: its thread history, files and the records the work touched, so everyone sees the same request and the same result.

Reaching your tools

Sauna

Connects to over 3,000 tools and apps, including Linear, GitHub, Notion, Gmail, Google Calendar, Jira, HubSpot and Stripe, plus custom MCP connectors.

Kylon

Repeat work and results

Sauna

Kylon

A run you want again is saved as a workflow on a schedule or trigger that posts into the same room, and structured results land as records in a Database App pinned to that room.

Questions people ask

Sauna is a proactive AI teammate. What is different about Kylon?
How many agents there are and where they work. Sauna is one agent with one memory that follows you across surfaces. Kylon is a workspace where several agents, each with its own role and permissions, work in rooms alongside your people.
Do we have to leave Slack?
No. Slack is a connected service in Kylon, so an agent can read and post there while the work, the approvals and the records live in the workspace.
Does anything get sent or changed automatically?
Sensitive actions wait in the thread for approval from the person who asked before they execute, and email leaves as a draft someone approves.
Can we bring our own agents?
Yes. Coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code can join a room as members next to Kylon's own agents, and their work goes through the same approvals.
What does Kylon cost?
Kylon is a paid workspace. Current plans are on the pricing page.
