Step 02 of 04

Permissions and architecture

Every customer conversation reaches the same question: who can see this, and what can the agent do with it. Four layers, each with one job, so every access question has one place to look.

Deliverable

What to send, and what passes

What to send

  • Your own diagram of the four layers for a workspace you would set up for a customer. A photo of a whiteboard is fine.
  • Finance records only two parties should touch.
  • An outside consultant for six weeks.
  • A customer mailbox an agent has to draft from.

What passes

  • Each layer keeps its own job and you do not assume a fifth hidden setting.
  • Thread context, room search and agent access are handled as three separate decisions.
  • A connected account attaches to a person or to an agent, with a reason, not to the workspace.
  • Your answers give the least access that still gets the work done, and you say what happens when the consultant leaves.
Review

How it is scored

The bar

  • Four criteria, each scored 0, 1 or 2.
  • At least 1 on each criterion.
  • 6 out of 8 overall, and the diagram.

A reviewer from the partner team answers within two working days.

If something is short, you get the specific line that needs work rather than a rejection. Sending it again is normal and costs nothing.

Send step 02

Send the links and the write-up for this step. A reviewer from the partner team comes back within two working days.

Do not include customer confidential data. Name the industry and the process, not the client's records.
